BP-CS Multi-Camera Plate User Guide
Care and maintenance of your RRS BP-CS Multi-Camera Plate. Read before installing on your camera.
MAINTENANCE
Before installing your BP-CS place, wipe off bottom of camera to prevent trapping dirt or grit. When installing mounting screw, note that mounting slots are threaded at only one end. Install screw first at the threaded end, then it will slide easily in the slot for final positioning. Periodically check mounting screw to make sure that it is tightly installed.
CLEANING
Periodically wipe plate and quick-release clamp clean with a dry cloth to remove any contamination.
INSTALLATION
ORIENT the Anti-Twist Flange
The BP-CS’s anti-twist flange fits snug against your camera body to prevent twisting and provide a secure metal-to-metal grip.
- Determine which side of camera provides most optimum fit.
- Align flange against edge of camera that is flattest and allows the most contact.
NOTE: The plate may be installed with the flange against the front or back of the camera.
INSTALL Mounting Screw
Determine which of the two mounting slots provides the best clearance for the battery door or other ports.
- Use hex key to loosely install screw from beneath plate into threaded end of slot and into camera’s tripod socket.
- Adjust plate so flange is snug against edge of the camera.
- Fully tighten screw.
INSTALL Safety Stop Screw
The safety stop screw will act as a stopper to prevent the plate from slipping through the clamp if the clamp is not fully closed. This prevents free fall when the tripod head is flopped into the drop notch for vertical format.
- Install screw into the right side of plate with hex key. (the side that will be on top when camera is flipped vertically in drop notch)
ATTACH Strap to Strap Boss
The BP-CS is equipped with two strap bosses to attach your camera hand or neck strap.
