Conversion Cap Size Options
Option 1 – Series 1 Tubes – 1.57" (3.99 cm)
For Series 1 tube diameter:

Use to remove legs thinner than the series 1 tubes on your tripod.

Converts series 34/34L to 33/33L, 24/24L to 23/23L, and 14/13 to single section tripods.

Accepts all RRS® feet and feet replacements.

Install the Series 1 conversion cap, ensuring a clean, even thread alignment.
Option 2 – Series 2 Tubes – 1.73" (4.39 cm)
For Series 2 tube diameter:

Use to remove legs thinner than the series 2 tubes on your tripod.

Converts series 34/34L to 32/32L, 33 to 32 and 24/24L to 22/22L. Will not fit on 13 and 14 series tripods.

Installing Leg Conversion Caps
Step 1 – Loosen the Twist Lock
Turn the twist lock counterclockwise until it disengages completely and the leg threads separate.
Step 2 – Remove the Leg
Slide the leg section off the previous leg section once loosened.
Step 3 – Collect the Anti-Twist Sleeves
Remove and keep the anti-twist sleeves together in a clean, secure location. These will be needed for reassembly later.
Step 4 – Prepare the Conversion Cap
Inspect the conversion cap, and twist lock threads to ensure they are clear of any dust or grit for a smooth fit.
Step 5 – Install the Cap
Screw the conversion cap onto the exposed leg threads until snug. Hand-tighten only—do not over-tighten.
Step 6 – Transfer the Foot Accessory
Unscrew the foot (rubber, spike, or claw) from the removed leg and securely thread it onto the bottom of the installed conversion cap. Caution: low heat may be required to loosen Loctite if used to secure rubber feet.
Step 7 – Verify Assembly
Check that all parts are secure before operating your tripod.
