[Plates](https://kb.reallyrightstuff.com/knowledge/manuals?hsLang=en#plates) # Leica Q3 L-set Manual ## Manual for the RRS Leica Q3 L-Plate ### Overview This manual will guide you through the installation, use, and maintenance of the Leica Q3 L-Plate (SKU: RRS-9000269). ### Section 1 - Parts and Locations #### In the Box: - 1x BQ3-LPG (Leica Q3 L-Plate with grip) - 1x 1/8" Hex Key - 1x Low Profile 1/4"-20 Mounting Screw - 1x User Manual QR Code **Parts and Piece Locations** The Leica Q3 L-Plate features a unique single-piece design and a 1/4"-20 captive-style mounting screw. Step 2: Using the included hex key, thread the included 1/4"-20 screw through the bottom of the L-Plate, into the Q3 camera.  ![](https://kb.reallyrightstuff.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-May-21-2024-04-16-05-3804-PM.png?width=511&height=511&name=image-png-May-21-2024-04-16-05-3804-PM.png) Step 3: Removing the Leica Q3 L-Plate > **Please note:** The Leica Q3 L-Plate includes a custom-made 1/4"-20 captive-style mounting screw. Unlike most of our camera plates, this screw is not connected to the base of the plate and can be easily misplaced when detaching the plate from the camera.
