Section 1- Compatability

The VECTOR-X Mount will work seamlessly with Vectronix Shooting Solution's VECTOR X   &  RADICAL X, Rangefinding Binoculars.

The VECTOR-X Mount design allows you to level your Vecoronix X Series Rangefinding Binoculars without the need to change their width. This Mount is also designed to allow its user to make fine leveling adjustments when attached to an RRS dovetail clamp.
We recommend pairing the VECTOR-X Mount with a PT-Scout for the perfect pan-tilt setup.

Section 4- Usage and Maintenance

Using your VECTOR-X Mount:

The VECTOR-X Mount design allows you to level your Vecoronix X Series Rangefinding Binoculars without the need to change their width. This Mount is also designed to allow the user to make fine leveling adjustments when attached to an RRS dovetail clamp. To use the VECTOR-X Mount:

1. Install VECTOR-X Mount to Binoculars (see Section 3-Installation for help)

2. Attach the VECTOR-X Mount's dovetail plate to a dovetail clamp

3. Unlock the mount by loosening the lock knob

4. Tilt the Binoculars to level them out to the desired position

5. Lock the mount by tightening the lock knob

 Adjusting The Drag Knob

The VECTOR-X Mount comes timed from the factory to our preferred drag setting. The drag setting of the mount can be fine-adjusted using a 1/16" hex key (not included). This setting affects how much resistance the binoculars have to move when the lock knob is disengaged.

To adjust the drag knob settings:

1. Ensure the VECTOR-X mount is installed onto the binoculars.

2. Attach the binoculars to an RRS Clamp

3. Unscrew and remove the lock knob

4. Adjust the two drag screws evenly, at small increments (clockwise to increase, counterclockwise to decrease drag). Make sure not to overtighten the screws.

5. Once the desired drag tension is applied reinstall the lock knob.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Occasionally, the bearing surfaces should be greased.

Light lubrication can be achieved by removing the lock knob and applying a small amount of Superlube or equivalent synthetic grease to the bearing tracks while tilting the mount in either direction.

For a full strip and cleaning, the mount can be completely removed from the binos. Once the lock knob is removed, the tilt components can be separated.

We recommend cleaning components with a small amount of lightly soaped water and a brush.

Be sure to rinse off all soap, and to completely dry all components after cleaning to prevent rust and soap buildup.
